The mission of the Youth Ministry is to evangelize, tend, form,
empower, equip, and send out our young men and women so that
they can become messengers of Christ’s Love to an often confused
and lost segment of their peers and thus pave the way for their
integration into mature Christian adults.

Youth Encounter #5 Aug 7-9, 2009
INVITING ALL YOUTH AGES 14-20
Life growing up can be tough. We face so many challenges that
sometimes our parents and the adults around us will find hard to
understand. We were, we are or we may yet be faced with questions and
doubts about what the future will bring? Whether our friends are real
friends who accept us for who we are ? Does God love us at all or does He
even listen to us? Is there really even a God? Why does he allow the
problems we are facing now to happen to us? Who will help us through all
these challenges and problems?
We all face the same problems and have the same questions and that is
why we would like to invite you for a weekend of fun, reflection and open
communication with your peers. It is a weekend for young people, ran by
renewed young Christians who have themselves found God not only
through the weekend encounter but through the friendships made long
after their own YEW. The weekend will be a live-in encounter. While the
weekend will ask you to do some reflection, what is most important is the
interaction with other young people whom we can learn from.
The only requirements we will need from you to attend this YEW are a
completely filled out application form, a copy of your baptismal certificate, a
recent photo I.D. and the openness to have fun and learn about yourself and
God’s plan for you.
We know that the first thing that comes to mind when you hear of this type
of activity is the word “BORING!” But trust us my friend, this is something
different and it is a weekend that you will definitely enjoy, gain friends from
and build lasting memories.
We pray for your openness to this activity and we look forward to know you
better.
